Our summer plans revolve around opportunities designed to give students service experiences outside of the norm. Connection is a local trip that gives Junior High students the opportunity to lead a day camp (similar to Vacation Bible School or Backyard Bible Club) for kids from Upendo Baptist Church. It has the potential to be one of the most memorable, life-changing experiences a Junior High student can have. Check out the info below to find out more about the trip and how you can be included this summer.

As our junior highers serve at Connection (June 23-26), family & friends will have the opportunity to follow the group on the trip via Twitter or text messages. Go to www.twitter.com/wakeupdates and follow us on Twitter. For text messages, follow the instructions below:
  1. Send a text message to 40404 that says “follow wakeupdates”.
  2. You will receive a reply text asking you to reply back with either your name or a specific code (depending on your cell phone service provider). Follow their instructions.
  3. If you don't begin receiving wakeupdates, try sending a message to 40404 that says "on wakeupdates".
  4. To cancel, you can send another text message to 40404 that says “off wakeupdates”.
  5. If it still doesn't work, try repeating the steps above using the @ symbol in front of wakeupdates..."@wakeupdates"

Every summer, the entire Watermark Student Ministries Leaders Team gets away refresh and reflect in preparation for the coming school year. This year's retreat will be on August 14-16, 2009 so mark your calendars and stay tuned for more details!
